We are seeking an experienced Escrow Officer to provide vacation coverage for an Escrow Officer from October 1216 and October 2228. This in-office role is based in San Diego and utilizes Qualia software.

Here are some of the basics:

• Cover all primary Escrow Officer duties to maintain seamless desk operations.

• Process real estate escrow transactions from setup through disbursement.

• Study and clarify buyer, seller, and lender instructions to determine escrow requirements.

• Order title reports, resolve title defects, and satisfy existing liens or encumbrances against properties and principals.

• Prepare Closing Disclosures (CDs), HUD statements, and specialized transaction documents (including Affidavits of Heirship).

• Calculate tax and interest prorations.

• Assemble, review, and explain closing documents with parties, answer questions, ensure completeness, and obtain signatures.

• Complete closings by recording and filing documents, preparing final closing statements, and balancing/disbursing funds.

• Open escrow accounts, deposit funds, and maintain detailed file records.

Requirement wish list:

• Minimum of 2 years of escrow and title experience; proven job stability/tenure preferred.

• Hands-on experience using Qualia software.

• Active Notary Public.

• Strong working knowledge of standard escrow/title concepts, practices, and settlement procedures.

• Proven ability to multi-task effectively in fast-paced, high-volume environments.

• Highly professional and customer service-oriented, with a commitment to delivering value.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively manage relationships and influence outcomes.
