Position Overview
We are seeking a Figma & Adobe InDesign Specialist to provide hands-on support to a team during a transition to a new platform. This is a short-term opportunity for someone who is highly proficient in Figma and Adobe InDesign and can work directly with team members to help them become comfortable and effective using these platforms.
This is not a formal teaching or instructor role. We are looking for a hands-on marketing, creative, graphic design, or production professional who knows these programs well and can demonstrate workflows, answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and provide practical guidance as the team learns the new tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on guidance and support with Figma and Adobe InDesign.
- Help team members understand and navigate the software and its core functionality.
- Demonstrate best practices, workflows, and efficient ways to complete common design tasks.
- Assist with transitioning existing work and processes to the new platform.
- Answer questions and troubleshoot software-related issues as they arise.
- Work collaboratively with the team to understand their existing workflow and help adapt it to the new environment.
- Provide practical, one-on-one or small-group assistance as needed throughout the migration.
- Help the team build confidence and independence with Figma and InDesign.
- Strong professional experience using Figma and Adobe InDesign.
- Hands-on experience in marketing, graphic design, creative services, production, or a related field.
- Ability to explain software functionality clearly and demonstrate processes to others.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working directly with non-expert users and adapting to their individual needs.
- Experience with platform migrations, workflow transitions, or implementing new creative tools is a plus.
- Formal teaching or training experience is not required.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate may come from a marketing, graphic design, creative production, digital design, or communications background and has extensive day-to-day experience working in Figma and Adobe InDesign. They should be comfortable sitting with a team, showing them how to accomplish tasks, answering questions, and helping them transition smoothly to the new platform.
This is an approximately 60–90 day engagement focused on hands-on software support, knowledge transfer, and helping the team successfully adapt to the new workflow.
