Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Escrow Officer/Closer to manage complex commercial real estate transactions from contract through closing. This role requires extensive knowledge of commercial escrow procedures, title insurance, and closing documentation, along with the ability to manage high-value transactions while delivering exceptional service to clients, lenders, attorneys, and other parties.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial escrow transactions from opening through funding and post-closing.
  • Prepare, review, and coordinate closing documents, settlement statements, deeds, affidavits, and related legal documents.
  • Review title commitments and closing requirements to ensure all conditions have been satisfied.
  • Calculate and verify prorations, payoffs, commissions, disbursements, and closing figures.
  • Coordinate with buyers, sellers, lenders, attorneys, surveyors, and title examiners throughout the transaction.
  • Conduct commercial closings and explain closing documents to all parties.
  • Disburse escrow funds accurately and in accordance with closing instructions.
  • Maintain organized transaction files and ensure compliance with company policies, RESPA, Department of Insurance regulations, and applicable state and federal laws.
  • Assist in resolving title and closing issues to facilitate successful transactions.

Qualifications

  • Active Texas Escrow Officer License in good standing.
  • Minimum of 8 years of escrow experience, including at least 5 years handling commercial real estate transactions.
  • Experience with complex commercial transactions such as raw land, industrial, retail, office, multifamily, and mixed-use developments.
  • Strong understanding of commercial title insurance, ALTA requirements, surveys, and commercial lending practices.
  • Proficiency with SoftPro or similar escrow software (RamQuest, ResWare, etc.).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
