Our client, a national title company, is looking for a Commercial Escrow Assistant to support commercial real estate transactions and ensure smooth closings from contract execution through funding and recording. The ideal candidate will have experience handling commercial escrow transactions, strong organizational skills, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Escrow Officers with commercial escrow transactions from opening through closing
- Prepare and process escrow documents, settlement statements, closing packages, and disbursements
- Review contracts, title commitments, lender instructions, and other transaction documents for accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate with buyers, sellers, lenders, attorneys, brokers, and internal departments throughout the closing process
- Maintain proactive communication with all parties to ensure timelines and closing requirements are met
- Order payoff statements, estoppels, UCC searches, and other due diligence items as needed
- Track critical dates, escrow requirements, and funding conditions
- Facilitate signing appointments and support post-closing activities including recording and file balancing
- Ensure compliance with company policies, underwriting guidelines, and state/federal regulations
- Deliver a high level of customer service while managing multiple transactions simultaneously
Qualifications
- 2+ years of commercial escrow, title, or commercial real estate transaction experience preferred
- Knowledge of commercial closing processes, escrow procedures, and title documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and escrow/title software systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with a national title or escrow company
- Familiarity with commercial lending and multi-party transactions
- Notary Public certification is a plus
