You will be responsible for managing a full desk of diverse files—including residential resale, refinances, and commercial transactions—while overseeing the daily operations, compliance, and growth of the branch.

As an independent escrow company, we pride ourselves on our neutral third-party status and our commitment to the strict standards of the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI).

  • Full Cycle Processing: Manage escrow transactions from opening to closing, including initial setup, title report review, demand requests, and preparation of grant deeds.

  • Document Preparation: Generate accurate escrow instructions, amendments, and closing statements (CD/ALTA).

  • Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for real estate agents, lenders, buyers, and sellers to ensure a seamless "on-time" closing experience.

  • Fund Management: Oversee the receipt and disbursement of funds, ensuring all accounting is balanced and compliant with DFPI regulations.

Branch Leadership & Operations

  • Team Supervision: Lead and mentor escrow assistants and junior officers, providing guidance on complex file issues and professional development.

  • Compliance: Ensure the branch adheres to all state and federal regulations and Cyber Security protocols.

  • Business Development: Maintain and grow relationships with local real estate brokerages and lending partners in the Southern California market.

  • Audit Readiness: Oversee office file maintenance to ensure "audit-ready" status at all times.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as an Escrow Officer in California, with at least 2 years in a management or "Team Lead" capacity.

  • Licensing: Must be able to pass a background check and be bondable.

  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of Southern California escrow customs, contracts, and local tax requirements

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in escrow software (e.g., RBJ, SoftPro, or SMS) and digital signature platforms.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong conflict-resolution skills to navigate the "11th-hour" stresses of a closing.

  • Bilingual capabilities (Spanish/English) are highly valued in the Southern California market.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Salary: Base salary plus a percentage of monthly "desk" revenue.

  • Bonus Structure: Performance-based incentives tied to branch profitability.

  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits provided

Note to Applicants: This position requires a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses the "thick skin" necessary for the Southern California real estate market. If you are a closer who loves building a team, we want to hear from you.
