We are seeking a highly organized Litigation Paralegal to provide premier support within our fast-paced Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will be a proactive professional capable of assisting attorneys across various stages of the litigation lifecycle for multiple active cases.

The Role

In this position, you will offer high-level administrative and legal support, managing a diverse caseload from initial filing through the completion of trial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document Drafting: Prepare and draft routine legal documents and correspondence.

  • Case Management: Oversee multiple cases simultaneously from inception to trial.

  • Medical Records: Efficiently collect, organize, analyze, and summarize complex medical records.

  • Deposition Support: Assist in deposition preparation, including the collection and organization of exhibits.

  • Trial Preparation: Facilitate pretrial logistics, including the creation of exhibit and witness lists and general trial management.

  • Trial Assistance: Provide in-court support and conduct targeted document searches and legal research as required.

Qualifications

  • Experience: At least five years of litigation experience; a background in personal injury is preferred.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel).

  • Legal Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of state and federal court rules and all discovery phases; must be skilled in proofreading and cite-checking.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor when interacting with clients and staff.

  • Work Ethic: Strong ability to prioritize tasks, meet strict deadlines, and solve problems independently while thriving in a collaborative team setting.

Requirements

  • Education: A Paralegal Certificate is required ; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

  • Core Competencies: Excellent writing skills and the ability to manage a high-volume workload in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Adaptability: Technology-savvy and eager to master new systems.

  • Availability: Must be highly responsive and willing to work evenings or weekends when necessary to meet the needs of the firm and our clients.
