Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Manage real estate transaction files from contract receipt through post-closing preparation
- Prepare Closing Disclosures and/or Settlement Statements
- Review and balance closing files for accuracy and compliance
- Coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, attorneys, and clients to ensure all documentation is complete and deadlines are met
- Review payoffs, HOA information, surveys, and other transaction-related documentation
- Communicate regularly with all stakeholders to provide status updates and resolve issues proactively
- Ensure files meet regulatory and lender requirements
- Prepare closing packages
- Answer client and agent questions throughout the transaction while providing a high level of service
- Intelligently explain the chain of title discrepancies to all parties involved
- Resolve chain of title discrepancies prior to closing
- Maintain organized digital files and ensure proper documentation is in the settlement system
- Assist settlement agents and attorneys with closing preparation
- Schedule closings: in-office, mobile Notary, Remote Online Notary
- Support post-closing coordination when necessary
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- MD State Bar license is required
- Working knowledge of Qualia software is great, but not required
- 3-5 years of title closing experience, abstractor experience, title examiner, or providing closing services is required
- Meet state licensing requirements -- a title producer's license is required
- Must be detail-oriented, analytical, and process-driven with excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
