Our client, a premier probate litigation law firm serving clients from around the world in courts throughout California and Texas. Our team is passionate about delivering excellence in trust, estate, probate, and conservatorship litigation, offering comprehensive support to clients navigating complex legal and emotional issues. We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our OC Team in Costa Mesa!

  • Draft court filings
  • Draft discovery requests and responses
  • Draft subpoenas to third parties
  • Gather and organize client documents
  • Prepare and organize document productions (both outgoing and incoming)
  • Create indices of client, other party, and third-party documents
  • Prepare case timelines
  • Prepare exhibits for use at depositions
  • Prepare trial documents, exhibits, and other related materials
  • Provide trial support to attorneys
  • Research rules of legal procedure and substantive law, including cite checking, Shepardizing, and Bluebooking
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Preferred Skills, and Experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a paralegal in probate, trust, estate, or civil litigation
  • Strong, team-oriented work habits and ethics
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and time effectively
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills; deadline and detail-oriented
  • Ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy and completeness; strong proofreader
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and other legal/office software such as Smokeball , Adobe, etc.
Also important to have:
  • The right candidate should be welcoming, confident, patient, and compassionate.
  • Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal degree program
  • Or Certified Paralegal or Certified Legal Assistant designation
  • Bachelor's Degree a plus
  • Experience in litigation is required.
  • Experience as a legal assistant in the areas of probate, conservatorship litigation and administration is preferred.
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Reader, MS Office is required.
  • Knowledge of Smokeball is beneficial.
