Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Loan Officer to handle consumer and home equity loans. This role involves reviewing applications, assessing creditworthiness, making lending decisions within authority levels, and ensuring compliance with all regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong financial analysis skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Review, analyze, and process consumer and home equity loan applications.

Approve or recommend loan decisions within authority limits.

Communicate loan decisions clearly to applicants and partners.

Verify financial, employment, and credit information.

Structure innovative loan solutions while managing risk.

Prepare loan documents, disburse funds, and ensure compliance.

Handle complex loan inquiries and resolve member disputes.

Identify cross-sell opportunities to deepen client relationships.

Provide guidance and training to team members as needed.

Stay current on lending regulations, compliance requirements, and internal policies.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.

5 7 years of lending experience (consumer, real estate, or home equity).

Strong knowledge of federal and state lending regulations.

Advanced financial and credit analysis skills.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of loan software is a plus.

NMLS registration required.

Excellent communication, decision-making, and organizational skills.

Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends as needed.
