Job Description:

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Temporary Teller at [Credit Union Name]. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently and accurately processing financial transactions. This is a temporary position with the possibility of extension based on business needs.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:

   • Greet and assist members in a friendly and professional manner.
   • Address customer inquiries and concerns, providing accurate information or directing them to the appropriate department.

2. Transaction Processing:

   • Conduct various financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments, accurately and efficiently.
   • Verify and balance cash drawers, ensuring precision in handling currency and coin.

3. Product Knowledge:

   • Stay informed about the credit union's products and services to effectively cross-sell and promote additional offerings to members.

4. Compliance:

   • Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and credit union policies to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
   • Verify identification and authorization for all transactions in accordance with established procedures.

5. Recordkeeping:

   • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure proper documentation is completed for each transaction.

6. Team Collaboration:

   • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve organizational goals.
   • Assist colleagues during peak periods or as needed.

7. Professionalism:

   • Uphold a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality in dealing with member information and transactions.
   • Demonstrate a positive attitude and contribute to a positive work environment.

8. Technology Proficiency:

   • Utilize computer systems and other technology tools for transaction processing and recordkeeping.

9. Flexibility:

   • Adapt to changing work schedules and responsibilities as needed, including occasional weekends or extended hours during peak times.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a banking or credit union setting is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with financial software.
